Markets, like the world around us, are in an infinite state of evolution. Industries and technological advancements define non descript lengths of economic growth, competitive advantage and opportunity for the well sighted. Changes, although hard to discern in the moment, are reliably expected. Growth on the other hand, is never guaranteed. Growth is the product of decisions, curiosity, creativity and a willingness to challenge our deepest rooted convictions. Dan and Tanner believe that the greatest opportunities often emerge from periods of uncertainty, when yesterday’s assumptions no longer adequately explain tomorrow’s possibilities.
“Change is inevitable, growth is optional” is more than just Y&Y’s core philosophy. It is the foundation of our approach to life itself. We believe that stagnation is death, and intellectual rigidity is an extreme liability. Our responsibility is not to defend yesterday’s thesis, but to continuously refine our understanding as new information becomes available. Whether navigating the changes of today we seek to remain adaptable without abandoning our principles. Markets will evolve regardless of our participation, and opportunities will come and go with them. The choice to learn, adapt, and ultimately grow belongs entirely to us.

Yarton and Young is deliberately named after the two families of the founders. Legacy building is an important pillar of our philosophy, and we believe that the capital entrusted to us represents generations of work by the people who have committed it.
